Reviews Rated 5 out of 5 by Leslie from One of my fav stories The film is one of my absolute favourites and I don't know what took me so long to read the book!

Absolutely loved it Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by Fluffyrush from Amazing! A very enticing story that makes you gravitate to it even more. I highly recommend it! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Cecilia from Brilliant! A marvellous spooky story with a brave young heroine, a talking cat, a mouse circus and some wonderfully quirky characters. Gaiman really knows how to spin a good yarn and the spooky nature of Coraline's quest to find her real parents and escape her "Other Mother" should appeal to children and adults who enjoy a good spine-tingle!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenny from Gives you the chills! Coraline is an amazingly creepy story that is very engaging. The plot is quite dark, but that's what makes it so great! I'd recommend it for anyone wanting to read a quick but horrific story, and to watch the movie as well since it was a good adaptation. Rated 3 out of 5 by Remy from Coraline One instance where I would actually say the movie was better than the book, but both are entertaining Read alone before introducing to younger children, you won't mind reading it twice if you like the author's other stories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amanda from Love it My son and I love this story, wonderful, cannot get enough of this! Rated 5 out of 5 by Joan from Excellent creepy story Great story!

LAIKA - Coraline - Colorful Characters

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenn from Great read! As always, Neil Gaiman has delivered a dark tale that keeps you wanting more. I love his writing and I always come back to him. It was a shorter story, but it was good nonetheless. Way better than the movie! Rated 2 out of 5 by Erica from Coraline Very short read but a curious story. Different from the movie but still has that creepy element. Rated 4 out of 5 by Tiffani from Cute story!

This book is a cute, quick read that I really enjoyed. I would recommend this as a first spooky story to any kid wanting to experiment in this genre. As an adult, i almost and I never say this prefer the movie to the book. Rated 5 out of 5 by Linnea from One of my childhood favourites I've always loved anything dark and creepy, even from a young age. This book has been a favourite of mine since elementary school. The movie is garbage compared to the book. Books are always the best versions! If you like creepy bedtime stories, Coraline is for you!

However, it was so enjoyable I finished it in a day, and I just couldn't get myself to put it down. Rated 5 out of 5 by Sevda1 from One of my favourite I absolutely love this book and its story. Ever since I watched the movie and read the comic book I had to read the novel. An amazing story, not too scary, and has a nice style. Definitely would recommend! Rated 4 out of 5 by Andrea from Delightfully Creepy This book has an eerie tension to it that will creep out adults and a sense of adventure that will wow kids. Great for all ages.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LindaM from I'm ok with it but not for children One of my favorite movies but the book is a bit eerie and not for children to read Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by MatT from Very interesting story Great book. It is both scary and very interesting alright, more creepy than scary - but that's besides the point. Rated 5 out of 5 by Dakorax from For Children?? Rated 5 out of 5 by Sarah from I love Coraline I love this book, the movie and the characters, especially Coraline.

It's a beautiful work of art! Rated 4 out of 5 by Cynthia from Deliciously creepy! Quick and creepy read. Don't be fooled, this book can be enjoyed by adults too once the nightmares stop, maybe! Rated 5 out of 5 by Jasmine from Great for all ages! You can never go wrong with Neil Gaiman and Coraline is no exception. A spooky story that both kids and adults can enjoy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KimiBcute from Delightfully unsettling My brother bought this for me for Christmas. I read it in one sitting and enjoyed every page.

The subtle humour of the father and mother is great. The unsettling feeling you get from the other father and mother is fantastic. Rated 5 out of 5 by rachel from One of my favourite children's stories. I watched the movie first and loved it so much I had to read the book.

Although the movie and book have their differences, I still loved the book as much or more. Good introduction of horror to children, and it still gives me the creeps as a human in their 20s, thinking of a creature preying on neglected and lonely children. I love this story and the illustrations very much. Rated 3 out of 5 by Oscar from decent curiously clinical and removed from its young protagonist, but quite good. Rated 4 out of 5 by Mariel from Great Read Read this for a children's lit class at University, and found it gave us a lot of discussion.

Adult in some ways, but very child-like in others.

CORALINE 10TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Would recommend a parent read it before their child under 11 read it - but I would still highly recommend this book. A classic Neil Gaiman book. Rated 3 out of 5 by ashley from Where to put you Interesting idea but I wasn't sure which age range it belonged too. It wasn't developed enough for an adult book but I found it extremely creepy for children Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by JoJo from Creepy It's a really good story.

It's also very creepy. You can definitely get through it in one sitting. It keeps you on your toes till the end. Rated 4 out of 5 by Jesse from Great and creepy little fairy tale. Not the best reading as an adult but still a great story. I will admit that the movie does play out better than the book does. Rated 5 out of 5 by Omgz from Couldn't put this book down! This book is a fantastic quick read for people of all ages. Read this book in one sitting and was kept engaged throughout.
